Once upon a time in a land far, far away. There lived a family who kept to themselves. They never went out and they had no friends but one day they wanted to change. The sad thing was that they didn't know where to begin. So, they began talking about what they might do and after a short period of time they came up with an idea. What do you think this was?

Hi - I thought I would share a less I once learned.
Ask yourself, as I often do, 'What is the lesson for me in this experience? Once I know that I have something to learn from my sorrow, as I have from any disappointment in life I can turn that sorrow into a song - almost instantly. Wen you find yourself in a state of self-pity, try repeating the words of the Objibway to yourself and you will soon see how trivial your self-suffering feelings are in comparison to your eternal soul. Make an effort to notice everything around you and things will change.
Who are the Objibway? You might like to do some research into these. But, for now here is what they said 'Now and then I go about pitying myself and all the while my soul is being blown by great winds across the sky'.
Enjoy!

Hi!
My name is Steve and I live in Llandudno, North Wales. I lecture at the local college. My subjects are a little boring - business I'm afraid. I am a real family man and love going for walks and taking lots of photographs. I love watching films of most sorts - I have just finished watching 'Jumper' - it's OK but could have been a little more exciting in parts but a good yarn.
As you can see, this is my first blog and I am just experimenting before I get off the ground proper. Any advice would be welcome and if you would like to share some of your thoughts and ideas I am quite receptive to most things (I am quite broad minded, but I don't really like offensive stuff - I can be a little bit of a bore I'm afraid - but, I do like to learn new things).
Oh well, I'm going now - this appears OK for a first attempt - See you around.
Stephen
